Dress up fun

Every time all of the family gets together the nieces and nephews always seem to put together some sort of "show"-usually singing. This time they played "dress up Hailey" It was actually pretty cute. Hailey just loves playing with her older cousins and they love her just as much. Luckily I did have my camera this time and I think I got most of the outfits.

Natalie's blessing

We we super blessed to have lots and lots of family in town. We all went up to Priest Lake for the day on Saturday and then her blessing on Sunday of course. Silly me forgot the camera for our lake trip, but luckily I have lots of pics from her blessing day. She was very ticked because her aunties held her during sacrament meeting, but after once I got her she was HUNGRY! And Hailey and Hannah were ticked because they wanted to go to primary and nursery, but we were having a big family dinner afterwards (we have late church right now) so we weren't able to stay. Needless to say I think that the days of getting a nice family picture are over.

Figuring things out

I know I know it's been a while. The girls and I are trying to figure out how to deal with each other and the new addition. I'm actually pretty proud of myself for how I've been doing, but I'm definitely ready for bed at the end of the night. I have a lot of posts to catch up on... so enjoy.

This picture is appropriately titled... "The hard life =) "

One week old already

She was very ready to eat here =)
Time sure flies... and I've spent the past week stuck in a bed lol. Just a few quick pics of the babes. She is so sweet and such a great addition to our family. Hey if she can sleep through Hannah's screams then she is obviously meant to be in our family.

Natalie's birth

I knew it was only a matter of time before labor started because I was dilated to a 4 at my dr appt on Wed. I had lots of bh and a few contractions on friday during the day, but nothing worth getting excited about so luckily I spent the day cleaning, which turned out to be a huge blessing. Anyways it was about 6pm and we had just finished dinner and I stood up and felt like I peed myself lol... but I didn't. It wasn't a lot, but it kept happening every few minutes and I knew that it was my water breaking. Contractions still weren't coming hardly at all so we hung out a home for a while. I called my mom and had her come over to be with the girls and we finally left the house at about 9pm to meet my amazing doula Pamala at good ol Walmart so that we could walk around. It didn't take long for my contractions to start up good and strong and soon we were off to the hospital. They started coming so fast and strong that I'm pretty sure I yelled at Tim on our way over there. We checked in at 1030 and I swear I couldn't get my epidural fast enough. Of course it was another back labor only and once I got my meds I dilated super fast and Our little miracle was born at 1:13am.

I was so happy with her delivery- finally- since I didn't have much say in things as both Hailey and Hannah were delivered in the operating room. Natalie was pushed out in about 5 minutes- super fast and I didn't tear at all! We did delayed cord clamping which was amazing because right away I got tons of bonding time with her. We had an amazing night nurse who didn't rush us into anything and just let me lay with the baby and nurse her until she was content. I looked at the dr and said that felt really easy and he just kind of shook his head and said you made it look easy. So I guess with a super easy birth I should have expected something else to go wrong... and it did. I woke up at about 5 or so that morning with horrible neck and head pain. So far this week I've been to the chiropractor twice because absolutely none of the medications that I was prescribed have done anything for me. All they did was make me and the babes barfy more so I quickly stopped taking them. My neck and upper back are definitely on the mend and feel pretty fabulous this morning, but now it's my lower and mid back area, especially around my epidural spot, that is so painful that it makes me want to drop down and cry. I swear I can't seem to catch a break right now. I just had a baby and my back feels like I was in a serious car accident- go figure that would be my luck lol

But to end on a positive note I have an amazingly beautiful new baby girl who is very healthy and happy and who even only woke up once last night to nurse and then went right back to sleep. So even though I'm a mama in pain at least I'm well rested. And I've already lost 23lbs of the 35lbs that I gained with her!! This week has also shown me how much my husband can really step up and how wonderful he really is. He's been so understanding and has taken care of everything!

Welcome Baby Natalie

Natalie Marie entered this world on August 11th at 1:13am. She was 19 inches and weighed 8lbs 7oz. When they weighed her no one- not even the nurse- could believe she weighed that and they weighed her 3 times, lol. We're still wondering where she's hiding all that weight at since the girls were 7-11 and 7-2. She was born with a full head of hair that reminds me of Hannah's hair and looks a whole lot like Hailey. Anyways labor and delivery were great, but I've been suffering from very bad head and neck pain that has practically kept me bed ridden for the past 5 days so this is a short post with a few pics. My amazing husband has been waiting on me hand and foot, bringing food, water, medicine, ice packs, and baby to the bed for me and has completely taken on the Mr. Mom role with a fantastic attitude. I'm sure one lucky lady to have him!   I'll have to make another post in a few days with more for everyone.

No babes yet

I've hardly picked up the camera lately- I know bad mommy. I've just been super tired and trying to keep up on the house and get everything ready for baby to come, which could be any day now. I had an appt last Wed and was dilated to a 3 then.... and it got my hopes up. Nothing but a few random contractions since then and some super killer back pain. I've had lots of different pains with this preg so far. Even Tim commented that he didn't remember me being in this much pain with the girls.... ya no kidding.

So far this summer we've made a few lake trips, a day at splashdown, and lots of time outside. Tim's been busy with work and everything else so that combined with me being as big as a whale has limited our summer activities. Luckily my mom was able to get a few good pics from Splashdown.

pretty sure I was 35 weeks here
