Finishing projects

I've decided that I really need to finish some of my projects lately. The weather is starting to get nicer, which means that I can finally resume my painting outside soon here- yay! That is when Tim can help, lol, since some of the furniture is a big heavy. So I really need to finish other unfinished things before I start the painting again.

 This is the before picture.

And ta-da the after picture

Anyways I fell in love with this rocking chair when I saw it last year and got it for a steal of $10! It was in need of some serious tlc, which I gladly gave it. I'm pretty proud of it because of all the work I did on it. Last year I sanded, primed, painted, and clear coated it and it's been sitting in my basement waiting for me to get the energy and inspiration to finish. The seat cushion was ICKY and when I tore it off it was even ickier inside. Once I got it cleaned up enough to recover it took some serious thinking on my part because I'd never done anything like that before. I ended up sticking a piece of foam and then a layer of batting over the springs and then covering with the fabric that I finally found. I've been going to the fabric stores off and on for the past 6 months looking for fabric for some of my various undone projects so I was super happy to finally find something I was ok with and liked enough. The seat cushion was the easy part in my opinion. This chair never came with a back cushion, but it desperately needed it because it was just plain uncomfortable. This was super tricky for me. I decided to use another piece of foam and cut it out into the shape I wanted. Then I had to attempt to make a pattern to sew a cover for it. I may have a sewing machine, but I'm not very talented in using it at all. So it's all covered now and done! The back cushion fabric doesn't fit quite right, it's not perfect, but it's something that I did all by myself and I'm proud of myself for seeing it through!

Praying

I haven't been sure of myself  on whether to talk about this, but I suppose if I'm to use this more and use it as an outlet I should. Even as I think about putting my jumbled thoughts onto this page my stomach is doing flip flops- and not the good kind.

Last Sunday I got a phone call... from my dr... on her cell phone. I had a 2nd midpoint ultrasound the week before to get better pics of the stomach... and they still weren't able to find it. Not good. My dr tried to reassure me that it could have been the baby's position, she could have just emptied her stomach, etc... but let's be honest here. I may sound like a bunch of sour grapes right now, but if they haven't found it in 2 ultrasounds I'm worried. I have another ultrasound scheduled in about 2 weeks to try once more. They wanted to wait a little longer to wait until she was a little bigger. If they can't find it then I get sent off to specialists and from there my mind just feels like it's being squeezed.

So in all reality I won't know anything for sure for a little bit still, but that doesn't keep my mind from thinking about what may be ahead of us. When I first got the news I really struggled to keep myself together. Not sure how well I managed that one. Of course I did the typical and searched the web about my possible situation. It's called not seeing the "stomach bubble" and from what I could find out each situation is different. Yes it could mean the baby doesn't have a stomach. What?!! That doesn't even make sense. Random things that I found were things like pre-term birth, surgeries, other birth defects associated with babies born with this, not being about to nurse her right away, bad reflux, etc. and of course modern medicine can only go so far and so we've thought about this baby not making it.

I don't know why but for some reason I thought that this pregnancy would be just fine since I miscarried 2 mo before getting pregnant. I guess we shouldn't assume these things. So we're worried and scared about what the future may hold for us. And Tim is definitely worried more this time too. With the miscarriage it was so early on that he didn't really feel the loss like I did, but this time I'm far enough along where he will be majorly involved with anything that happens. He asks me everyday how I'm feeling and to be honest I've ate more chocolate in the past few days than I have in a long time. No it hasn't made me feel any better yet about things. This little girl- who is still nameless- is still a feisty one and moving lots. So I guess we have to wait. The best news that we could have is that the stomach is found at our next appt. So that's what I'm praying for.

Easter weekend

Took the girls out for some fun, games, egg hunts, etc. I just can't believe how big my monsters are getting. Love them lots and lots!!
I absolutely love this one of Hannah. Other kids were picking up one egg at a time while she was doing 3 at a time, lol!

Swim lessons

Trying to catch up

Bath time fun! I just love this pic of the girls together.

All ready for church with extra time to spare for once- ya momma!
This picture is very special for Hailey. We've been struggling with staying dry at night so I promised her that if she stayed dry at night for 1 whole week we would go and get her some princess barbies. It turned into a big fiasco because she wanted Ariel and Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid, but didn't want to wait for it to be shipped ( no stores in town had the prince) so she agreed to get the Ariel and Belle doll. She was one happy girl and those dolls have gotten lots of use so far!
It's been forever since I've posted. I keep meaning to, but obviously it hasn't happened yet, lol. I have plenty of sit around time with my killer back pain lately so not sure why I've been lazy. Well here's to me trying a little better now. We're all still alive here- barely!!! And we found out that another girl is on the way a little over a month ago so watch out world- the Olsen girls are going to take over.... hahaha!

Hello friend... I've missed you... NOT!

Ok so I know I've talked about the "dumb stick" before.
Anyone who's been preg knows what I'm talking about.
Where you do really stupid things for no reason at all...
or lose track of your thoughts... or just plain forget things...

Yep I'm 100% all the way in that stage right now.
Yesterday I messed up both rice krispy treats and sugar cookies... 2 of the most basic things to bake right?!! Well apparently not. Never messed them up before, but leave it to me, lol
So this morning I'm feelin great- well not great, but at least better-
I stick a load into the washing machine... and go to put it into the dryer
Can anyone guess what bonehead move I did next?? I put wet clothes into the dryer and forgot to turn the dryer on... What a genius move that was!
Then I go to do the dishes. Open up the dishwasher- that I also loaded yesterday-
A guess anyone on what I did wrong here?? I forgot to start that too. Still even had the soap in it.

So while you all are enjoying your heads screwed on nice and tightly my feels like it's just floppin around on the top of my body. Lucky me.

But on a different subject the hubs and I had a nice lil v day dinner together last night. We put the girlies to bed right at 7 and I got take out from the glorious Mustard Seed. A little sparkling cider, some pretty flowers, yummy food and we were promptly in bed at 9- yep we're cool old people like that, lol!

A new babes is on the way!!

Ok ok I realize it's been absolutely forever since I've posted on here... it's because we're expecting babes #3!!! I'm due Aug 17th and found out a few weeks before Christmas, but because of everything that I went through with losing the last baby I was very cautious to lead on that I was preg again. And with being so sick and tired... yep it was easier just to not post anything at all. I always show soon... and I did again. It's insane how much faster you show with each pregnancy. So that's our big news. I've had 2 ultrasounds- 2 because of a scare I had- another reason to wait to announce. It's been torturous not to tell anyone, but I was so scared to go through that again.

So if you come over to my house expect it to be messy and unorganized... if you prefer a cleaner house then call and give me some notice. If it's 2 or later... your call will probably get ignored because I'm napping... sorry =) I expect things to get better eventually but for now I told Tim tonight- hey the house is messy, but I made dinner; good trade right, lol?!! It really is difficult to deal with your own kids and trying to somehow take care of yourself- so I really only get ready when I'm going somewhere.

So we're still alive and all is well here. Toodles for now.
